October is known for being the month of Halloween.
The tradition of trick-or-treating is very strong in North America and every year, children and adults alike choose who they want to be on the night of October 31st and how they want to scare off their ghosts and ghouls!
Happy Halloween (Play N Go)
This game is trick-or-treating, as the symbols feature scary characters and lots of creepy candies.
Cupcakes, chocolate strawberries and apple of terror, I mean, of love are some of the tasty treats served on the menu of evil.
In addition, there are characters such as Frankenstein, ghosts and witches, one of which acts as a Scatter symbol awarding full bet multipliers and free spins.
Bets can be quite low, starting at 0.01 credits. Incidentally, the game’s RTP is 96.5%.
You’ll also find the Grave Family with witches paying up to 300x, mummies paying up to 400x, Frankenstein up to 500x and ghosts paying up to 1,000x.
Look out for the Jack O’ Lanterns (evil pumpkins) as they can send a glimmer of fear through anyone; however, like Wild, they bring you plenty of extra paylines.
The game features a Gamble option and you have a chance on both the colour and suit of the card.
Free spins can be re-triggered and the bonus pool can be up to a million coins!
I didn’t get to that million, but that’s what it says on the game info!
Scratchcard Halloweenies (Microgaming)
This 2015 game does look like an outdated one but it still piques the interest of those who like games that aren’t necessarily with reels.
I spent a little time playing to get the rabbit and the dog, but the pumpkin that is worth more, I had to stop trying otherwise I would not finish the article!
But I was very curious to know what happens when you get all three, I must play more often just to find out!
Other than that, that’s the game. No bonuses, no special screens, no free spins, it’s simplistic and it stimulates the player’s curiosity!
Well, for those who liked the characters but got sick of the scratch card quickly, Microgaming gave a new game to the characters and this slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines.
You have the option to play in two levels, Regular and Expert. The difference is that on Expert you can choose the auto spin option.
The slot with everything, treats that turn Wild and the pink rabbit that is the Scatter and will give you Free Spins, which give triple prizes.
In the Pick a Pumpkin Bonus Game, which you activate during the free spin, takes you to a graveyard to pick the pumpkins that will win you the most prizes – or not.
The RTP of this game is set at 95.52%, which is not bad at all!
I ended up winning a few Free Spins, but no Evil Lanterns in the graveyard, so I was discouraged!
Halloween Witch (Booongo)
The Halloween Witch is loose!
And just as well, because in this game if she appears more than once together with the cat in one of your winning combinations, they multiply your prize!
Each Spin allows you a single-column respin for a given stake.
Once in the bonus game, you choose which ingredients will bring you more or less prizes.
And you can even win Free Spins within the bonus!
The game has an RTP of 96.42% and has up to 1024 paylines.
Of all the games, I have to say that the one that held my attention the most was precisely the simplest – Scratchcard Halloweenies – as it was the one I spent the most time playing and still, I didn’t pull out three evil pumpkins.
But I love games with the Gamble feature, so points to Happy Halloween.
Not to be unfair, Halloween Witch is pretty cool too, with well done sound effects, top-notch design, plus several features like Free Spins, Bonus, Wild, Hot Cat Witch and even a vampire, which is my favorite character ever!
Truth be told: Halloween games I play them all!!!
